So what's their deal?

Born just as a horrible war started, Xyq spent the first three years of their life desperately clinging to life, brushing just past death constantly with their pack. While running from the latest war-torn zone, Xyq came across texts describing the practive of hemomancy, available to those that called themselves Blood Mages. Needing power to make sure they and their allies survived, Xyq performed the necessary rituals and willed their own lifeforce to become magical power, using the originally evil practice to protect those who need it.

What are they up to now?

With the war having been ended a small number of years ago by the first peacekeepers, the peacekeeper academy, ran by the surviving members, opens its doors, inviting to study within people with strong potential for strength that can be used for the good of the world. Among that prestigious group is Xyq, having gained reputation through their travels searching for and discovering magical artifacts and tomes, most of which they donated to various institutions.

Included within those artifacts was the Light of Hope, a divine lantern that was given to the first peacekeeper by the God of Mercy himself, thought to have been lost after their death in the final battle against the Calamity. Xyq hopes to find answers to the mystery surrounding the battle, and document what they can for future generations.
